Their shared profound love for chocolate gave Meika Hazim and his husband Wednes Ari Yuda the idea to establish Cokelat Ndalem, a local producer of chocolate goodness that only uses Indonesian cocoa beans.
Meika, who also founded a Chocolate Museum for her business, says that Cokelat Ndalem’s concept is to “bring a story of Indonesia in every product,” and to tell people that locally-made chocolates have what it takes to compete in the international market.

Bean to Bar is the name Meika gave Cokelat Ndalem’s premium products. Produced since 2015, the premium chocolate is composed of cocoa beans purchased directly from farmers in Mount Kidul, Yogyakarta. With a variant range of 42% to 100%,
